Adding a sunroom is a great way to add functional living space to your home. They can be enjoyed year-round, regardless of the season or weather. When envisioning your sunroom makeover, a good place to start is by asking, “What do I want to do with this space?” Do you want more space for the kids to play or a comfortable dining area for summer BBQ’s? Or perhaps you want a quiet retreat to enjoy nature without fighting off bugs, humidity and weather. The tranquil oasis pictured above offers an uninterrupted view of the patio, pool area, and backyard. Skylights eliminate the need for electric lights during the day and provide a clear view of the stars at night. It is the perfect place to relax with a good book or enjoy comfortable conversation with friends.

The exterior of your sunroom should reflect your style and taste as much as the interior. This can be done by matching (using the same design elements) and complementing (using elements that highlight or mimic) your existing architecture. For the sunroom on the left, the homeowners chose paneled windows like those of the house and a white exterior to match the home’s trim. Embossed diamond panels and accent windows near the ceiling were added to make the sunroom stand out from the rest of the house. The color of the sunroom on the right was chosen to match the home’s roof while still contrasting nicely with the white siding. The extra-large windows let in plenty of light, making the sunroom feel like an extension of the backyard.

Sunroom Makeovers are a Breeze with Paul Construction!

“Paul recently built a 400 sq.ft. sunroom overlooking our pool on our home. From start to finish, the project went smooth and the employees were nothing but courteous. He was much more cost efficient than the manufactured sunrooms available through companies similar to ‘enclosures of PA’, and we were able to customize to our liking. From the cathedral ceiling, to the heated tile floor, to the cedar shake exterior, we could not be any more pleased.” – Deron P
